Color me tickled pink

Do you dream in color?

What color toothbrush do you have?

What do you think life would be like without colors?

Yes, I always dream in color.
Blue toothbrush.

Ahhh, black and white? Sort of like first season?
Jun. 17th, 2014 06:27 pm (UTC)
Exactly like first season.
Jun. 17th, 2014 03:09 pm (UTC)
I do dream in color.
Red and white toothbrush at the moment.
No color in real life? Boring! I look forward to all the colorful flowers after the dull landscapes of winter. And how strange would your Christmas tree look without color?

It reminds of Pleasantville. Have you ever seen that movie?
Jun. 17th, 2014 04:04 pm (UTC)
I rarely recall dreams... one of my nightmares was always black and white
blue metallic with a white swoop
No color? It would remind me of the good old days!
Jun. 17th, 2014 06:27 pm (UTC)
So it's just one nightmare in particular that's in black and white? Curious.

The one I recall most vividly and until a few years ago, happened a few times a year. I had had a few episodes while in the Crisis Unit and previously in the mental health unit with bomb scares, and a lack of response from the police bomb squads...it remained with me. don't ask me about the episodes with weapons...

Yikes - that sounds frightening, even in black and white!
Jun. 17th, 2014 08:48 pm (UTC)
While the actual events were unfolding I was cool as a cucumber. Afterward my mind worked on the facts... like what did I really know about finding bombs on a mental health unit? I was a 21 year old nurse... in charge of a floor of 25 seriously ill patients and three other staff.
I learned pretty quickly I was bound to be the go to person when things got rocky... at this point nothing gets me riled!
Jun. 17th, 2014 08:54 pm (UTC)
Wow, that's crazy. I never remember stuff in that detail.
Jun. 17th, 2014 04:06 pm (UTC)
Color and sensation, but not smell or taste.

blue and white. Pink was not a selection.

BORING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jun. 17th, 2014 06:28 pm (UTC)
No pink? How are you managing?
Jun. 17th, 2014 04:40 pm (UTC)
For all I can remember, yes, I dream in color.

blus toothbrush

Jun. 17th, 2014 06:28 pm (UTC)
I think black and white would be pretty blah.
Jun. 17th, 2014 04:57 pm (UTC)
Both color and b&w (kind of just like MFU Season 1 and 2.)

Blue at the moment.

Depends on whether or not we knew what a color was in that life.
Jun. 17th, 2014 06:28 pm (UTC)
And there you go philosophizing again...
Jun. 17th, 2014 06:43 pm (UTC)
Ah, but what would the world be without my philosophizing? I suppose it would depend on whether or not we...wait, I think we're in a loop here. :D
Jun. 17th, 2014 08:57 pm (UTC)
Sigh, you are so bad...:)
Jun. 17th, 2014 08:52 pm (UTC)
the greeks didnt have the colour blue, they saw it as a sort of bronze.
Jun. 17th, 2014 08:58 pm (UTC)
They didn't have it for what reason?
Jun. 17th, 2014 09:07 pm (UTC)
they just hadnt gotten around to developing it as a concept.
Jun. 17th, 2014 09:40 pm (UTC)
Hmm, that's interesting. But did they have the color blue but called it bronze instead?
Jun. 17th, 2014 09:49 pm (UTC)
no they just didnt sort things out by hues in the same way we do. They did it by shades. Hence,

black, brown, dark blue, dark green and purple = kyaneos

yellow, grey, light green, bronze, light blue = glaukos

They were too busy developing democracy and/or gay sex, they didnt have time to bother with the minor details.

Another Ancients mindbending that always gets me is that it is less time from Julius Caesar to the present day, than it is from Julius Caesar to the construction of the Great Pyramid at Giza. Logically I know I shouldnt find that weird, but I do.

*They were too busy developing democracy and/or gay sex*

So, so glad I wasn't drinking my coffee at the time!
Jun. 17th, 2014 05:09 pm (UTC)
I dream in color and in scent, for some strange reason. I also tend to often dream in full storyline (which usually means I wake up more tired than when I went to bed)

Purple toothbrush.

Jun. 17th, 2014 06:29 pm (UTC)
And scent? that's very cool!
Jun. 18th, 2014 02:38 am (UTC)
Yeap usually in color though once and a while black and white and that is usually something that scares me.

Blue toothbrush

Jun. 18th, 2014 11:03 am (UTC)
You see, I can't even remember if I do or don't.
Jun. 18th, 2014 04:09 am (UTC)
I once had a dream where the room looked like "Candy Land" with all the color full candies hanging about. But when I flipped the light switch on the wall the whole picture went to black and white. I flipped the switch several times with the picture going from b&w to color. and then I remarked to self that people do dream in color.
Jun. 18th, 2014 10:51 am (UTC)
Wow, what a cool dream! Sort of like the Wizard of Oz, but in reverse with b/w to color.
Jun. 18th, 2014 03:53 pm (UTC)
I don't often remember my dreams, but I don't recall any of them being in colour.
My toothbrush is blue and white.
Life would be very drab without colours - like an English winter.
Jun. 18th, 2014 06:51 pm (UTC)
Oh, poor English winters...
Jun. 18th, 2014 06:54 pm (UTC)
They're depressingly grey.
Jun. 18th, 2014 08:04 pm (UTC)
I can remember how depressed I would get in Reno with the gray and cold. The change to here was extreme, in the total opposite direction. It seems that the heat is a little price to pay for green grass in the winter.
Jun. 18th, 2014 08:08 pm (UTC)
I know what you mean. Winters in Germany are much nicer than in England as most of the precipitation is snow instead of drizzle and we even get blue skies and sunshine (albeit sub-zero temperatures) in December.
Jun. 18th, 2014 08:10 pm (UTC)
Blue skies are really important, I think even more than sunlight at times.
Jun. 18th, 2014 08:15 pm (UTC)
Oh yes. When the trees and fields are bare, blue skies are wonderfully uplifting.
Jun. 18th, 2014 08:19 pm (UTC)
It really is. We get terrible fog in the winter and it's always such a relief to see blue sky!
