some MFU fun and games

What is your favorite quote from MFU and/or other show/movie (just be sure to let us know what show it is)

MFU - "How can I attack you when you are pointing that thing at me?" (Selena in the shower with Napoleon - Spy with My Face).

WKRP - "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly" (Mr. Carlton after the Thanksgiving fiasco).

Your turn!

Love Illya's "She seems happy. Who is dead?"... So Illya...
There are quotes from a French screenwriter and film director, Michel Audiard. They're very funny but... I can't translate.

Snort. That is SO Illya!

Yay, I found this! IO don't whether it's as funny in English as it is in French...

This one is insanely funny, at least to me...

Les cons ça ose tout ! C'est même à ça qu'on les reconnaît.

"I'll listen to your stories...anytime"
"Well, we have each other..."

Oh, I can just hear those fluttering eyelashes!

There's a lot of Get Smart quotes. Often I find myself using "Quiet is unAmerican."

And we are usually unquiet at the top of our lungs!

I am sorry. That came across wrong. Here in New Zealand we have much the same culture. And we, too, are often unquiet at the top of our lungs. Perhaps some people are being paid by the decibel.

I knew exactly what you mean - no worries! After all, I've been to an All Blacks game...

From The Foxes and Hounds Affair:-
Victor Marton : Allez!
Illya: Oops!

I can't remember exactly - is there one where Illya asks Napoleon something like "must you be so American?' or am I thinking of fanfiction?

When I started rewatching MFU a few weeks ago, I was watching Deadly Decoy; at the beginning, when Napoleon picks Illya up outside the coffee shop and Illya says something about going to the parking garage (British pronunciation of garage), Napoleon responds with "The parking GAH-rage it is." And I thought oh, yeah, this is why I adore this show. The two of them are just perfect together.

I know there's an episode in which Illya says soemthing like. DOn't you find it a terrible burden, being so obviously American (something to that effect.)

He also made fun of how Illya said aspirin..

YES! I think that's the one I was thinking of.

I also am stuck on a line from MST3K from a Sindbad movie, when they are putting the sails up on their ship "Raise the failure flags, boys, we're heading home."

*Raise the failure flags, boys, we're heading home*

Oh, I like this a lot! Now when and where to use it...

I also love Illya's "Who's dead?"
Jan. 25th, 2013 02:45 am (UTC)
"I'll have his teeth for cufflinks."
Jan. 25th, 2013 12:32 pm (UTC)
And all Napoleon did was make him temporarily wealthy. Illya is so ungrateful...

I'd have to go with the WKRP quote about flying turkeys.
