CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves said the company did everything it could to keep Cote de Pablo on NCIS.
"We offered Cote de Pablo a lot of money -- then we offered her even more money," he said. "We really didn't want to lose her, we love her. We think she's terrific. We obviously were in discussions and ultimately she decided she didn't want to do the show. It was her decision. We don't like losing anybody. We did everything humanly possible and we exhausted every opportunity. Ultimately she decided she didn't want to do the show."
The actress, one of the longest-running players on the drama, announced July 10 that she was exiting the series. The drama, which regularly draws more than 20 million viewers a week, will wrap up Ziva David's story line at the start of the fall season.Note from Sparky: Cote, thank you for your work, you have the right to follow your own career path. God bless you.
