Super Easy Tin Chilli

A friend asked for a simple way to make chilli today so I figured if I was typing it up, I'd share it with you, too.

  • 1 large tin of diced tomatoes

  • 1 tin red kidney beans

  • 1 tin mixed beans (salad variety is nice)

  • 1 tin whole kernel corn

  • 1 tin mushrooms

  • 1 medium onion

  • Chilli powder & black pepper to taste

Dice the onion and then sauté.

Open up the tins.  Drain half of them, but not the tomatoes.

In a large pot or slow cooker put all ingredients and let it cook for a minimum of 30 minutes to let the flavours blend (I usually let it stew for a couple of hours).

You can also add ground beef or chicken or cut up sausage.  I will sometimes add Mexican veggie ground or tofu.
