Do you think athletes should be given as much celebrity status, huge salaries, etc. as they are? When do they cross the line from being an athlete to a 'star' of a sport?

Do you think athletes should be given as much celebrity status, huge salaries, etc. as they are? When do they cross the line from being an athlete to a 'star' of a sport?
