The Creature Features Affair:
“The Secret World of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”
Admission is free and open to the public.
This is a very special U.N.C.L.E. event that will take place on the opening weekend of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." Feature Film. It will be held at the Creature Features Store and Art Gallery at 2904 W. Magnolia Blvd, Burbank California 91505. It will celebrate "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." feature film as well as the original series.
On August 14-16 2015 Creature Features Art Gallery will feature a display of art, rare photos, props and merchandise from original TV series and Feature Film. The event will be open to the public and free making it a terrific opportunity for old and new fans of Solo and Illya to meet and share their passion for one of the best spy shows ever!
Friday August 14th:
Gallery Display 11am-6pm
Special presentation 1-3pm
Robert Short, the technical advisor on "The Return of The Man from U.N.C.L.E." CBS TV reunion movie, will present a live commentary along with the film revealing many behind the scenes stories a secrets behind the making of the TV movie.
In connection with the event, the U.N.C.L.E. Inner Circle ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/369560823208688/ ) will be selecting an opening night showing of the feature film on Friday August 14th for fans to pre-purchase tickets for and watch as a group at the AMC Burbank 16 theaters. Any U.I.C. members that wish to meet up before the showing at Creature Features around 4pm are welcome to view the exhibit followed by an early dinner at a local restaurant. After the film we will meet up at a selected local restaurant to discuss the feature.
Saturday August 15th:
Gallery Display 11am-6pm.
Reception 1-5pm
Creature Features will host a reception that will feature refreshments, book signings, special displays featuring original props and wardrobe form the TV series, giveaways, and special guests.
Guests include:
Jon Burlingame, producer of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." soundtrack CD albums and author of "The Music of James Bond" Autographed copies of the UNCLE CDs and Music book will be available for purchase.
Dr. Cynthia W. Walker, author of "Investigating: The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Autographed copies of her book will be available for purchase.
Though it is not part of "The Creature Features Affair", The New Beverly Cinema will be showing a Man from UNCLE double bill later in the evening of "The Spy with My Face" and "One Spy Too Many" allowed by a very rare special midnight presentation of "The Karate Killers Affair". (Never shown on domestic screens before)
Sunday August 16th:
Gallery Display 11am-4pm
The display will continue to be available to the public for viewing.
