. . . Paper Clip Day!
It may seem odd to celebrate innocuous piece of metal (or plastic), the humble paper clip can be used for much more than holding pieces of paper together.
You could make a stylish keychain. Or, as I have done more times I care to count, you could replace a zipper tab. Then again, you could make an impromptu fishing hook. or, if your salt and pepper shakers have clogged up, you could use one to unclog them. When I was a kid we often made jewellery out of paperclips, even going so far as to threading them into our ear piercings.
The only paper clip I don't like is the annoying one which used to offer assistance on Microsoft Word. I was so pleased when they got rid of that.
