My dear cousins,

I haven't been around for a long time (I doubt many of you remember me), but UNCLE is still near and dear to my heart even years after I stopped writing fic for it. This community, along with the show, gave me so much joy and companionship.

I'm so saddened by the loss of our dear Napoleon, Robert Vaughn. I know you are all hurting too and I want to share my condolences. It's a sharp and unexpected blow. I've been touched by the tributes you've shared and wish I could be as eloquent.

But I also want to say thank you to Robert Vaughn for giving us a wonderful character (and not only one), for creating something that brought so many of us joy. And thank you to all my cousins, who have kept the fandom alive for whippersnappers like me to enjoy.

I hope the love, joy, art and celebration continue, even if Napoleon is no longer with us. Love to all of you.
