Has Illya furthered his research?

Japanese researchers are working on flammable ice as an energy source. Did they get the idea from Lieutenant Illya Kuryakin after he set fire to that igloo? Admittedly, it isn't plain water ice. It's a mix of methane and water. If you fancy reading a short article on MSN, click the pic.
