A Real Life Colditz Story

As many of you probably already know, I've been watching "Colditz" recently. I went looking for stuff on the series, and stumbled across the following. Clicky link to the story:

In 1940 British POWs accidentally tunneled into a Nazi colonel's wine cellar and proceeded to drink everything they saw

You'll have to read through to the denouement to discover why they probably didn't adapt this particular story for the television series!
