Blue plate specials

According to Wikipedia - Blue-plate special or blue plate special is a term used in the United States and Canada by restaurants, especially diners and cafes. It refers to a low-priced meal that usually changes daily. The term was very common from the 1920s through the 1950s.

I was looking at something in the canteen settings and realized that we'd once had a feature called, "The Blue Plate Special" created by Svetlanacat.

With things as quiet as they are and me with time on my hands, I thought I might give it another go.

For my first offering: An open-face turkey sandwich.  Looks like a good solid (and tasty) meal to me.

I could see this showing up on the Canteen's menu once in a while as a special.
