Buried Treasure

In my on-again off-again quest to reclaim the basement, this past weekend I tackled the top shelf int he bookcase my husband had built for me. One shelf may not sound like much, but it's about 35-40 books across and 4 rows deep. Also, I have to stand on a step-ladder (or, okay, I confess, a folding chair) to reach all the way to the back, so there was a lot of up and down involved. But it turned out to be worth the effort. I culled about a dozen books to be donated, reorganized 3 sets of mystery series and then reached the books all the way in the back.

Treasure! All the remaining Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books from my once large collection, including some first editions (I believe) that had belonged to my mother as a girl. A few books, also vintage, from a series I don't even remember - The Dana Girls, by Nancy Drew author Carolyn Keene. And - you were wondering why I'm posting this at MFU, weren't you? - Man From UNCLE!! Two hardcover books and four magazines. I'm looking forward to rereading them once I finish the book I'm reading now. Meanwhile, there's a pic under the cut for you. The hardcovers are the two on the right.
