An interview about the making of The Return of MFU movie.

This comes from the Spy Command, who covers the "Other Spies" including MFU (besides Bond). He just sent this out.

The link below is kind of fun! A recent 6/26/21, Zoom interview which references the Return of the Man from UNCLE. As well as other classic Action/Adventure TV series. It includes Ray Austin (Director) and Anthony Zerbe (Actor - Villain). It's long (3 hrs) and slow running, but you can fast forward through to the interesting tidbits. It's long because they're actually watching the Return of MFU on their screen.

At pt. 22.00 and pt. 35.00 is a bit about Return (i.e., the comradery, talent, how much they enjoyed their work!). They do discuss other ventures, like MI & Harry O. But for me (an MFU fan) it's worth it! Especially while I'm writing the book, which makes references to the Return. Michael Sloan is not part of the interview. But (warning) Austin has a high regard for him! They're narrating the action that they're watching.

A lot of good MFU stuff begins around pt. 1.23hrs. The Director is being asked about those actors he worked with, a little about the location shooting, took 22 days to film. Only 2 days filming on the LA streets, rest was done in 4 walls. (A lot done at the LA Hotel, as I've read in another place). Location work done at the Dam and actual prison. They're looking at the film (which we can't see) and making comments on it. It's a pretty neat interview!! Talking about the car chase (with GL).
Sloan was a JB fan too!

This is very rare, being that the last vehicle was done over 38 years ago, and they're still remembering!!! And having been responsible for so many other great shows that we grew up with! What a great sport Ray Austin was, to do this!!
