Jim’s Alabama Chili

Prep time – 10 mins. Cook time 30-45 mins. Serves 4

2 T. oil
1 lb gd. Beef
1 t. salt
2 -3 T. chili powder
1 - 8 oz. can of tomato sauce
1 - 20 oz can of red kidney beans (drained – you can also use a variety of beans, (pinto, black, etc)
1 medium size onion, chopped
2 T. vinegar (white vinegar works best)
½ t. garlic powder
1 - 28 oz. can tomatoes

Heat oil, then quickly brown meat, stirring with a fork. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for 30 -45 minutes.
