LJ has started putting a big Create a New Account splash over the front page. If you click on the small Already Have an Account, it repeats the Create an Account message, but up in the top right corner you will get the regular login option after a few seconds.

So no need to create a new account, it is just an annoying "improvement" that slows logging in a little.
