Sticks and stones

First, apologies for the late opening - the back went south last night and I took a bunch of stuff that permitted me to sleep - obviously, since I'm about three hours late here.

So, a friend of mind got a nasty review.  If you write for any length of time, it happens.  It's a bit like getting slapped around by THRUSH on the job.  It happens.

The problem is that you can get a hundred good reviews and one bad one and that's the only one you remember.  Why do you suppose that is?   We don't have a jar that we have to put notes of all the bad stuff that happened into it to remember them.  Why are we so inclined to remember the bad and not the good?
